can't boot my CF card

{first post, sorry for my bad english}

recently i installed a Kingston Ultimate 266x 8GB CF card in my aspire one. everyting went fine, i connected the cables the right way and bios recogniced the card.
when i put in my windows xp cd, the netbook loads the setup and i was able to install windows on the CF card. but after the installation, when the netbook reboots to complete the installation, it says: ''Disk error, press any key to reboot'' it keeps saying this after hitting a key. it's like the bios is missing some sort of a driver for a CF card, because when the windows setup loads it can write to the hdd (checked it on another pc, the windows files are installed on the card and the card is working fine) i tried formatting the card to fat32 and ntfs but both are not working.. i updated to the newest bios version but still no luck.
anyone having the same problem?? or anyone knows how to fix this problem??

 

Mine AA1 i cannot boot if CF is in FAT32 format. So i format NTFS and its boot ok. Maybe FAT32 doesnt work on CF cards if u wanna boot.

 

I use exactly the same Kingston 266x CF card and it is formatted to NTFS.
The machine is functioning properly.

i solved a part of the problem: i used the kingston recovery software and formatted the card to ntfs, installed windows on it and it works!! but....: when i power on the netbook and it starts booting from my cf card, the hdd led goes on and the screen stays black(hdd led stays on all the time) this goes on for 1,5 hour (!!) and after that it suddenly works and windows boots normally and works quick. during this ''1,5 hour boot'' the first few minutes the computer seems to be doing something (fannoise goes high) but after 10 minutes the fan goes back to normall speed and it seems te do nothing. i've updated to newest bios (v.3309)
anyone help please?? waiting 1,5 hours to boot is really anoying
