When I installed WinXP on the SSD, I disabled the write cache. Then I installed SP3 etc...and the option got enabled again and is greyed out. I googled on this a bit, most of the answers lead to driver issues (option not supported by drivers). Anyone with a solution for this?

Same here. Installed XP2, updated, disabled Write Cache, it went grayed (but enabled).
No way to change the option again.
