cant get to terminal

    Hello! I'm selling my Acer Aspire, but I wanted to modify the desktop to make it easier for the next user to use. So I started editing some stuff through tutorials, but something went wrong and now I cant access anything except through the search bar in the top corner. All I need to do is retype something in, but I cant get to the terminal to log in (for some reason pressing alt f2 doesnt work now!) How can I open up the terminal with only the search bar to help me?
