Cant install an OS on AOA110

    Anyone got any ideas? I cant install ubuntu it gets as far as installing system then it just never goes further, it just sits with hard drive activity forever? Ive tried windows 7 on it and that gets as far as completing installation and does the same thing, it doesnt crash or anything it just simply doesnt complete OS installation, anyone got any ideas? Im running the latest 3310 bios aswell

    It's hard to say. Could be insufficient or corrupted RAM. Could be a problem with the SSD. Do you have an SD card in the slot? If so, try removing it before you install.

    I can quite happily run ubuntu from a usb stick, so quite possibly the ssd then, do you know any firmware upgrades that might help or any programs?

    ended up swapping the ssd to a different unit to install it, then put it back and its fine, very weird as id expect it to not run if it cant install but its absolutely fine
