Can't install apps on D255

    Hi Guys,

    I have an Acer Aspire D255 and am trying to install apps from various sources - in the absence of the Android Market! Some of them install fine. Others, however, just tell me that the installation failed. I've tried downloading the .apk files and installing from there but I get the same thing. For example Dolphin installs (though it seems to have bugs) as do some games but FBReader, Aldiko and Moon+ all fail.

    I've googled all over the place to see if anyone else has the same problem, but can't find anything.

    Has anyone else reported this? Is it a common problem? Is it limited to apps that require certain permissions?

    Most importantly, does anyone have a solution?

    Hi longpete,

    actually it's true that some applications are not compatible, that's why i made new topic about recommended softwares list :)
