Can't see VLC in Groups

    Newbie, please be patient:)
    I have managed to install VLC on my acer one 8gig with Linpus , i have used the software update..
    I can see VLC in the "advanced menu"
    But i want to put an icon onto the desk top but i cant find anything with "vlc" in the "Terminal/config/desktop/groups"
    where would it be or how would i do it please?

    See the topic entitled "How do I put an icon for vlc media on my basic desktop?" viewtopic.php?f=5&t=175

    A word of warning, the command you need to add is slightly different depending on what version of vlc you've downloaded. It would be worthwhile going to your /usr/share/applications/ folder to find out before editing. And you'll need to restart.
