This stylus mount would work perfectly underneath on the right side along the ridge of the 8.9" a1

However I don't know if that stylus would be effective on a resistive touch screen...

    any thoughts?

resistive works with ANYTHING really. from a finger to a piece of wood.
its based on pressure so as long as you exercise some on the screen, it will work.
