Great! I really like Openoffice and notebook hardware control. So here's one for you guys...a lite music player with an ipod manager. Any suggestions? Itunes is a resource hog but I don't know many other programs that I can use to add songs to my pod with. Winamp seems to be the best so far. Any more suggestions.

    Thanks again! :D

iTunes v.6 is small, stable, no registration, and does everything I need (no video) - old version available from FileHippo. On other freebies, the best thing I've found recently is Windows Live Mesh beta, easy to set up (requires a hotmail account and .NET), syncs folders across multiple Windows PCs in real time via a 5 gig online backup, and throws in remote desktop for the heck of it. Completely changed the relationship between the netty and my main and backup computers. It's like DropBox on steroids.

UPDATE: 091007 - I've returned to DropBox after Live Mesh became unpredictable about sync time and started creating multiple identically named folders I can't explain. DropBox has only 2gig free storage and no remote desktop service, but it's simple and reliable.
