    Good Morning,

    I am trying to burn cds and dvds with my acer one netbook.
    Using a normal usb external dvd writer enables me to watch dvds or listen to music on linpus.
    However more important, which software is out there for burning tasks?

    I tired ...
    k3b:
    * missing library, after researching 2 hours i gave up because all files are apparently installed
    * cant burn cds to harddrive, copy right stuff etc.

    Sound Juicer:
    * conflicts with acers linpus oem libs --> cant install

    Grip:
    * Cant detect the drive, tried mounting via fstab but the filesystem is never valid!

    Nero Linux:
    * Same issue as Grip

    So, all together ive spent about 4 hours chasing my own tail and come to the conclusion.... windows makes more sense :eek:
    However, if someone can convince me that linux is better, please show me how to burn a cd :!: sounds easy, but has been the hardest challenge until dato.

    Thanks alot guys,
    John

    Acer makes the GnomeBaker DVD/CD-rom burning program available for the Acer Aspire One running the original Linpus Linux distrobution. Just go to this page : http://www.acer.com/aspireone/aspireone ... files.html to download and install it.
