CDW receiving 160gb/6 cell in Onyx Black soon.

To do that go to start->control panel->System->Hardware Tab-> Device Manager-> Network Adapters -> Select Atheros Adapter -> Advanced Tab -> Power Save Mode

I set the value to off.

I ran a series of pings to my router in command prompt
ping 192.168.1.1 -t
after about 5 responses it just kind starting giving me timeouts. So I switched it from max power save to off and it stopped.

CDW's site said seashell white would be shipping in 1-3 days. That was enough for me to place my order this morning. Does anyone know where the Acer AAO bags are sold?

 

I have my white AA1 on order due to missing the black release. CDW is supposed to be getting 600 of the white if anyone is interested. Cheers!!!!

 

Interesting.. CDW had them shipping on 1-3 days on the white one over the weekend. Now the site just says "Call". I ordered one last week when I was told that 600 are coming in today... I guess we will see. I have not canceled my Amazon order yet until I get a tracking number from CDW. I did just contact my CDW rep. He verified that the order is due in today...

 

The black ones changed like that too, don't worry about that part.

On another note, I wish they would put a version out like the Everun Note that has a Turion X2 dual core cpu and ATI graphics. I'm eager to upgrade already as soon as a version with a larger screen than the note comes out. I like these little things for occasional use. Has anyone found out where to get the carrying case from? I was a little PO'ed that it didn't come in the box seeing how the canadian version had one.

 

600 white 6-cells incoming, against 250 orders

CDW told me that have 600 white 6-cells coming in and 250 orders. The shipment LEFT THE DOCK last week and is expected in by the end of this week.

Is anybody willing to take bets on this? Are there any Vegas odds makers out there?

As far as I know CDW is the only retailer that has actually shipped any 6-cells.

Adriana, I am typing this on my black AA1 from CDW, which just arrived this afternoon. (That said, DHL left the thing on the doorstep with no one home, so much for "signature required...")

It doesn't look like anyone else is going to be shipping these sooner... I was pretty upset about the differing answers from CDW reps, but the things did get shipped out within a semireasonable interval (ordered mine nine days ago). So hang in there and hopefully it will pan out sooner rather than later.

Just checked my order status and it says "Est. Ship Date 9/30/2008". Can it really be true?

CDW White 160GB. Yesterday my ship date said 9/30 and this morning it now says 10/3. Anyone else? I ordered 9/25.

 

Based on my experience with CDW as well as many others, I wouldn't pay too much attention to the est. ship date.

The guy I spoke to today said they were supposed to receive them the 29th but they didn't arrive so they should arrive and ship out today the 30th. I'm ignoring what the online est. ship date says. I've learned.

I'm trying to ignore it, but... within the past 10 minutes my date has now chaned to 10/7!!

 

I'm debating calling my CDW guy as my ship date changed from 9/30 yesterday to 10/7 today. However, they come in when they come in, pestering him won't make it arrive any faster. There is a charge "pending" on my credit card, but it has been there since I ordered. Basically, who ever ships first I'll take (I have on order with Amazon) and I'll cancel the other one... Nothing I say to CDW or Amazon will make it arrive any faster... :roll:

 

I was debating calling as well but agree with you. I Just don't want to end up with both. I have a temp authorization on my card but no actual charge. That's typical - they won't put the actual charge through till actually shipping.

 

My estimated ship date changed to 10/7 this morning as well...if come in by Friday they ship out by next Monday the 7th? It's nothing but naked speculation I'm afraid. All I know is consumers have been taken for a huge ride by these companies: MSI, Lenovo, Dell and Acer and the online retailers supposedly selling their products.

 

My estimated ship date has been progressively getting worse. First it was 10/17/08, then it changed to 10/20/08, and now it's at 11/3/08! What's going on here?

 

My CDW Rep informed me they arrived today and mine will ship today. (A white 160 GB/6 cell). The same white one is now showing as "In Stock" at CDW...
