CDW receiving 160gb/6 cell in Onyx Black soon.

I'm giving them one more day. But if I don't have one being shipped to me by the end of tomorrow I'm going to cancel and just wait for Amazon and save the $50 in taxes and shipping.

 

Yeah I think I'll wait until tomorrow night. May order one from NCIX and swap the keyboard later on if possible.

 

Wow I was impressed early on with my CDW experience, however now I am not so sure. There really are not a lot of options at this point, I placed an order for a white one yesterday just in case they come in first. I have an order in at Amazon place 9/5 for a white one. It initially said it would be delivered 9/25 then changed to we will notify you of a shipping date. So I think I have my bases covered at the major retailers. Too bad CDW is so confused. Well I guess it will get here when it gets here one way or another. Maybe all 3 will go out the same day and 2 will go on ebay we shall see.

 

Add me to the list of the confused. When I initially ordered a black 160GB from CDW I was told that I was number 20. Today, my account rep said that they came in and that mine would go out. My online account has been updated and it no loner says that the item is on backorder. I also have an order in for a blue one and that still shows up as on back order. However, the black one says it still has not shipped. I am hoping that it will ship out tomorrow but we shall see.

 

Did anyone get a tracking number from CDW?

Here is a direct copy from my CDW account online. Looks like one is headed my way. No official shipping e-mail yet, but I see this as a very good sign an AAO will be in my grasp very soon.

Edit: The invoice list is a link that contains my DHL tracking number. Looks like it is official to me. The tracking number isn't in the DHL database yet. I assume it was just picked up or is ready to be picked up.

 

Mine shipped also, yeah! Well it probably just sent info to UPS to be picked up in the morning. I have a UPS tracking number, not in the system yet though.

My Aspire One serial number is now on my invoice so it should be a sure thing now.

Ordered a 6cell Onyx on the 20th. CDW just shipped it today! I cant wait!

 

I purchased it on the 19th and my order says it's backordered.

Very strange.

I noticed the reprint of the packing list I requested from the site shows the item price same as total, no tax and no shipping. Sure would be nice if that's all they billed my debit card (I can dream cant I).

 

Unless yours is coming from the Nevada office which only got 50 (if they came in, I haven't asked about those because mine is in Vernon Hills, IL.)

 

Is there anyone here who placed their order AFTER 9/20 from the Vernon Hills, IL location that has received information regarding their AAO shipping? I just sent my "personal" representative an e-mail hoping he'll try to clear this up, but I'm wondering if their queuing system is messed up or if maybe they entered me into the queue on Monday after others.

 

Yeah mine doesn't have tax or shipping. But the looming charge in my checking account includes it in the price. My print date shows 9/24/08 and it was printed at 7:18. Must of sent it from their time machine. Did I make a mistake on choosing DHL notebook? I've never had anything delivered DHL, ever. I figured it couldn't be bad as I live within a few hours from there. Hope I'm not wrong.

I ordered mine on the night of the 20th according to my bank account. My bill says that I ordered it on the 22nd not sure why.

 

If your not far, I seriously doubt it will matter on shipping. I just had bad experiences on shipping times with DHL in the past and the sales rep. I placed my order with on the phone said DHL wasn't as reliable on speed and the notebook option could sit around for 3-5 extra days before I got it. I don't know if that's true, but I didn't want to take a chance since I have been getting everything UPS lately and had great service from them (my local UPS man has gotten to know me with all my NewEgg.com orders). It was about $5 more for the UPS 1-2 day option so I took it. I'm not going to knock DHL just yet though, if I do, you guys that live close with DHL will have yours while mine gets lost in transit, that's how my luck goes.

Plus I know where I'm at on the UPS route and roughly what time it will be here to make sure someone is home.

 

Are any of you receiving your AAOs from Nevada? I ordered mine on the 17th and it still says it's backordered. I'm in So Cal so I know I'll be receiving my shipment from Nevada. I sure hope it gets shipped out early in the morning tomorrow.

 

I can confirm that Illinois was supposed to get 150 and LV gets 50 units of the black. So far, my CDW-G rep has been pretty much spot on. I ordered it yesterday and my credit card went through. They are sending it via USPS so I won't get a tracking number but I am still waiting for a confirmation. I'll give them another day to sort this all out. Lets not forget, this is a large company with a lot of products and orders. I doubt a $400 laptop is at the top of their priority list. I'll be patient and see what happens. Cheers... Chip
