Hi, I'm new here, this is my first post.
I installed iDeneb 1.4 with OS X 10.5.6 on an unmodified Aspire One A150.
What I wanted to know is if I can use higher resolutions than 1024*600, because the GarageBand window does not fit completely. When using Windows there is this option (I'm using A1ctl) where I can scroll at the edge of the screen to get more space. This under Mac OS X would be very awesome!
    Thanks :)

    maybe search next time.
no real solution but artguiscale allows it by scaling the display.

    Well, first: thank you.
Second: even if most windows seem to be smaller now, garageband is still too big, it doesn't scale. Next problem: I can't unscale the rest. The widget does not work scaled and using the terminal with
    Code:
sudo defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor 1
    does not work either ...

Edit: Okay I got it with this from another thread:

there are 2 terminal comands, one does it until reboot then reverts back to normal and one does it permanently.
\Plus, you know it only works for apps that are opened after youve run the command. so for open windows, quit out then relaunch and the scaling will work

    Thanks again, the
    Code:
    defaults write NSGlobalDomain AppleDisplayScaleFactor X
command does not seem to affect GarageBand either, but works fine with Terminal and Finder. I tried the other thing on my Mac mini and I can't select values less than 1.0. I have Xcode 3.
