My wife has a new Aspire One Linux 120 Gb and its beautiful.

Its our first time using Linux but we are struggling with accessing the most basic of programmes and viewing sites like BBC iplayer. We know believe its not the system for us so can we change the OS to Win XP ?

We have good expertise with XP but is it possible and how easy is it to install XP and dump Linux ? Are there any detailed guides. ?
If the answer is no and we have to stay with Linux, can someone point us to a detailed idiots guide for adding programmes to it.
