Ok, so I've got my keys all rearranged to Dvorak format and this sometimes is driving me nuts, but I'm getting to like it. Maybe mostly because it confuses most... *shruggs*
    ...
Anywho, while I was moving the keys around, I swapped the Fn key and the "right-click" key. I now have the Fn between the right Alt and the right Cntl key, but I can't seem to find a way to swap the key assignments so that they'll function properly. I tried a tool from Microsoft to re-organize the keyboard, but it seems that it only organizes the universal keys, alphanumeric and symbolics. Anyone know a method of changing key assignments for the more essoteric keys such as the Fn, Window, ect?

That's a nice bit of software, much better than Microsoft's Keyboard Layout Creator, but neither allows you to change the Fn key. Your link helped me do some more research though. Here's what I've found so far...

    http://www.usnetizen.com/fix_capslock.php
I found this one page that said that Dell Manufactured keyboards have a Fn key with no scan code. I don't know if this means they are unknown or somehow they don't exist.

    http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Scan_code_table
This one shows a couple different scan codes for Fn keys, maybe somehow they can help me?

    http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/archive/w2kscan-map.mspx
This is a microsoft guide showing how to edit the registry if you know the scancodes. I've been taught to fear the regedit, but I might be able to figure it out.. If anyone out there can help, I'd appreciate it. Does anyone know for sure the scan code for our Fn keys or better yet, could you send me a regcode that remaps the Fn key or a key to be the Fn key so that I could figure out how to make other keys Fn or make the Fn something else? Basically I'm wanting to swap the Fn key and the right click key.

The Fn key is coded into hardware. No interrupts to the CPU are generated. No software will ever see it.

Is there any way no fool the os into thinking that I've pressed the fn key when I've really pressed a dif key?

Rather, it may be possible to disable the right click/context-menu key (easy enough to do) when it's pressed alone, but then define combinations of that key and others to similar functions of the fn key and those keys. It wouldn't fool the os, but a newly contented user would be able to think he had two fn keys. Maybe I can even order another key to place there...
