Has anyone used Chessmaster on the AAO? If so, what version and have you found any problems. I am contemplating Chessmaster 11 (only $20 but I don't want to throw it away) and would appreciate any input on this.

    Thanks!

I can confirm that Chessmaster: Grandmaster Edition 11 runs quite well on the Acer Aspire One (XP, 1Gig, 160HD).

Have you ever tried Winboard? Not the prettiest but its free, front end for two or three different open source chess engines (like GNU Chess).

I've been away from chess for many years and am searching for a way to relearn some of what I used to know. I really don't know much about the programs that are available online so I appreciate your mentioning it. I will certainly have a look, thanks.
