ok so i just got my 160 gb xp aspire one last night an so far im loving it! i just set up my network and when i streamed a video to the one the video was extremely choppy to the point where it wasnt really a movie more than a really slow slide show....when i plug it in to power the video played flawlessly...is there any way of fixing the choppy playback on battery? thanks

I bet if you disable the power save mode on your network adapter...the problem will be fixed. I noticed that even browsing is choppy with it enabled on battery. Once I turned it off...problem went away.

By default the processor is throttled back in 'powersave' mode on battery power, it's effectively running at half speed. Configure your powersave options to run in 'performance' mode when watching video. Your battery life will be shorter, obviously.
