What are the new features, is it really worth while doing the update?

The verdicts still out if the anniversary update is good or bad

The update allows further update to take place easier.
    here's some features

    http://www.pcworld.com/article/2874...lest-features-you-should-check-out-first.html

My concern are still the increasing privacy issues, where Microsoft believes
it has the right to spy on it's customers, that's right “their customers”.

I use w10privacy to tame it.

Thanks for the link. I see that they tweaked the desktop a bit and brought back more features that were available on windows 8.1, besides that it's pretty much the same. have you done the upgrade and what do you think of it if you did?

FOUND NO PROBLEMS AT THIS POINT

I always update but keep a recent system backup copy to hand .

I'm probably not the right person to comment I don't use windows to it's
full extent anyway, my first concern is always to clobber the privacy issues,in doing
doing so most of the program has been neutered.

I like testing any new programs out to find if they useful, always returning
my system back to my own default settings

I don't have Windows 10 yet. I am holding until I have a new computer. By the way, how do you rate your experience with Windows 10. I will check the links tough.

Going by windows 10's track record that seems like the best idea, but I do think that it should still be better then the previous version of windows 10. I'm sure they must have ironed out most of the creases.

I didn't update due the privacy issues :/ I don't see myself upgrading until I absolutely have to, like for example when this laptop gives everything it has to give and I have to buy a new one. Until then... no thanks :p I am pretty happy with Windows 8.1, hoping I am not being spied by Microsoft... just like Windows 10 users are :/
