Hi there, I'm at a loss with this problem.

My old USB hard drive when down a while ago and I temporarily used my Acer Aspire One (the 8.9 model ZG5) hard drive. I recently got a new external USB so I put my acer back together.

The problem is that when I turned the unit on, I heard a clicking sound coming from the unit (I hadn't put an operating system on yet). I located the hard drive as the problem. I removed the drive and reconnected it via USB to a desktop - no clicking sound.

I'm at a loss. All disk checks say the drive is perfect. It works in the unit but the infernal clicking sound is driving me mad as I use it in quiet places. I don't know if it's a power issue or something I've overlooked. Any ideas?
