Compactflash life span?

    That partly depends on whether it has any sort of wear-leveling logic, and how good it is. It's going to take a long, long time to write 16GB a million times, but much less to write one sector that many times.

    The short answer is yes.

    It has been discussed here but over on eeeuser.com the subject has been done to death. If you are using your One as it is intended (ie as a laptop rather than as some scientific real-time data logger) then it is a complete non-issue.

    Nothing lasts for ever, but unless you are very unlucky, it will easily last long enough.
