How about a list of Applications Which have been tried and whether they are compatible or not with Windows 7 Beta?

    To Start:

    Compatible:
    BlazeDTV 2.5a
    DivxCodecs
    ESET NOD32
    Mozilla Firefox 3
    Mozilla Firefox 3.1 beta 2
    Spybot S&D
    CCleaner
Vista Shortcut Manager (Removes little shortcut icon)
    K-Lite Codec Pack
A1CTL 0.4 (UAC needs to be disabled)
Acer Launch Manager (WinXP SP2 compatibility mode on setup.exe to install)
    Two Finger Scroll
CCCP (Using zoom player, the media player that comes with this won't integrate video and subtitle files together, but will still play the video)
    CoreAVC
    Google Chrome

    Incompatible:
BlazeDTV 2.1 (Upgrade to 2.5 and your serial will work fine)
eboostr (it'll install if you set it to winxp sp2 compatibility mode, but..it'll crash your explorer after reset)

Credit to all those posting below ;)

    Working:
    Spybot S&D
    CCleaner
Vista Shortcut Manager (Removes little shortcut icon)
    K-Lite Codec Pack
A1CTL 0.4 (UAC needs to be disabled)
Acer Launch Manager (WinXP SP2 compatibility mode on setup.exe to install)
    Two Finger Scroll

As for Win7 itself, there's a few quirks but its a very good start for such a early beta.

    Working:
    Adobe Photoshop CS3
    Adobe Illustrator CS3

    Windows Live Messenger (Vista Compatability)
    Windows Live Mail (Vista Compatability)
(These are in compatability mode so their icons are shown in the notification area)

    NOT Working:

Daemon Tools - Windows 7 pops-up a message saying this is incompatable, if you run it you get a restart loop trying to install the SPTD Driver

Office 2007 - For me it keeps losing it's registration settings, so after a while when you open up Word it says this software was not installed for this user and exits. I think it happens after automatic updates are downloaded and applied, but needs more investigation.

    EDIT:
    AA1FanControl works :D

thunderbird works too, but automatically in safe mode

@adfad666, have you done something especially to get aa1fancontrol working? my system shuts down immediately after logging in...and a1ctl doesn't work also, the fan is turned off for some seconds and then it runs with highspeed...

Have anyone installed and tested any of the following applications --

    MS Office 2003 (not 2007)
    QuickBooks 2006, 2007
Skype (the current versions/not the beta version)
    Cygwin

    Thanks!

skype needs to be upgraded to the latest Beta, Windows 7 prompts you to do this.

Just fired up cygwin, and it works fine. (pointing out this is on my Fujitsu full size laptop. I'm upgrading the AAO as I type)

Can't comment on the others, sorry.
