When I start the compiz manager in the terminal I can use all the effects but when I restart it I have to activate it again.
What can I do for the option to always stay active?

if you hit Alt+F2 type in
    Code:
    xfce-autostart-editor
it will bring up the programs that autostart.

Then click "add" and then type in "compiz manager" or whatever you want in the title. The command is "compiz-manager" in the command bar. This worked for me

BTW, you can go into cube settings, I can't remember where but you can make the middle mouse button/wheel activate the cube. I find that the simplest.

    Good Luck!
