Computer screen black when I turn it on

    Why would this be happening? Can someone please help me with this problem? Basically when I turn my AAO on the power light turns green, and I hear it start up, but then the start up sound goes away and the screen remains black. Thanks in advance!

    Can you try plugging it in to an external monitor to test if you have a faulty screen?

    I don't know what could have caused it, because it came on not too long after I made this post.

    Any chance you accidentally hit "FN+F6" and blacked out your screen?

    most likely your fan is getting stuck and then the machine is shutting itself down to prevent thermal overload which would permanently damage your machine. try firmly tapping the back of the machine where the fan is located to unstick it.
