I'd like to take a .png file from /home/user/Pictures/mypicturefile.png and copy it to /usr/share/xfce4/backdrops . However there is a permissions problem. thunar file manager won't allow me to move the file because as "user" I don't have root privelages. Does anybody know the terminal command I'd use to copy? Obviously it would start with sudo.... but I don't know how to copy files in linux via the command line. Does anybody know the command and syntax? Would it be something like
    sudo copy /home/user/Pictures/mypicturefile.png /usr/share/xfce4/backdrops?
