Corsair SSD's

    Hi I have been reading about the Corsair SSD's they have great bench marks, my question is can I replace the 8G with say the 128 Corsair?

    You most certainly can not. :D

    The SSD model of the AAO is basiaclly the bare NAND-Flash chips on a board, that connects via a ZIF connector onto the laptop's motherboard.
    The models that come with a mechanical hard drive, (120/160gb etc.) connect via a standard SATA connection, and are the standard 2.5" size.

    The SSDs that you see that provide the awesome performance, are 2.5" and require a SATA connector (yeah yeah, I know some are 1.8") so they are only really applicable as a replacement for the mechanical drives.

    Take a read in this forum, like here: viewtopic.php?f=54&t=15357 as there are some improved SSDs for the SSD model AAO, but they'll differ in price/speed/performance/easy of install to a standard 2.5" SSD.
