Hey guys, i'm thinking about buying a 120gb acer aspire one. I'm wondering how does Counter Strike 1.6 run? I wanna be able to play it online pretty smoothly, does anyone know how this performs?

i loaded it on mine with 1 gb ram and xp it ran well MOST of the time. it seemed to depend a lot on the server i was on for some reason. i was playing dust at 45-50fps one time then somewhere else it was like 20 fps even though the map seemed even more basic map. mind you this is at its lowest settings

I agree with the guy above, I get 90% of the time 45-50 fps, the odd maps with huge textures is what kills it.
Works fine with surf maps. That's what I play most of the time :D

My AAO specs... If you wanted to know

    1GB Ram
    160GB HD
    Windows 7

CS1.6 In normal settings NOT lowest

Turn your audio acceleration down (Type dxdiag in run, Click sound tab, Drag the slider to the left). Another thing to make it run better is to make it use OpenGL for the renderer and run GMABooster.
