I just bought my acer one about a few weeks ago and since then I have already experienced problems with it crashing "Blue screen of death" anywho it usually happens when I play music/stream video/ or try to play a game, is this more of a hardware problem??

My Acer one just usually restarts itself but of course I lose any data I was working on. Any help would be great.

    thanks

Try lowering the volume and the screen brightness and plug the power adapter in the AAO.

Is it a volume issue?? usually when it freezes you'll hear a loud noise from the speakers that is continuous. Usually when im just surfing or on AIM I have no issues, just when im streaming video/music on it.

u can try and restoring the system to factory specs from the e Recovery management, go to start, then acer empowering technology, from there click e recovery, and u will have two options, restore the entire system or just the drivers, u decide from there.

Load volume, screen brightness and crappy internet connection is a symptom of unstable 5v rail in the AAO's powersupply. Lowering the volume and screen brightness will definetly help to increase AAO's stability.

I usually encounter stability issue when heaviliy using wifi, turning up the speaker volume, and turning up to screen brightness on battery power. Plugging the laptop into the wall somewhat lessen the chance of a lockup or unstable laptop.

I've the same problem, resinstalled drivers, tried another xp's intalls ... nothing fix it at all ... but .. i've discovered that the audio problem happens only when playingback on speakers ... try with headphones or external speakers .. and its stop freezing .... please comment if you get a solution for this .. its really annoying when it freezes :( ... good luck!

Constrict the speaker volume to 2-3 bars. Lower the screen brightness to lowest bar.
