I definitely resemble that quote Fedora (10, 11, 11.90), Ubuntu (9.04, 9.10-dev), and Crunchbang 8.10 with Sickboy's 2.6.29 kernel installed, Acer Puppy 4.10, Kuki-3.0-pre-rc-1.7, Puppy Upup-alpha-9 and another iso image or two sitting on my HDD, and who-knows-what on a couple of flash drives. They all work - the question is, which is the most fun to play with?

Maybe they're just being more up-front about it than most other distros

Holler if you need any pointers on wardriving, and getting kismet up and running on your AAO.
Remember, it's not about connecting, but detecting.

Hi, I've just installed #! on my AAO but cannot figure out how to change the resolution which by now 133x135 dpi as given by #xdpyinfo. Can you please explain how did you do it ?

i've searched for solutions (here for example http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?p=206980&sid=048f37c1cd68a9b7a028ae8fa983d6d3#p206980 but it didn't work.

dok, sure. You might also wanna take a look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AA1/Fixes for more tweaks and fixes.

    DPI Correction

The native resolution of the AA1 is 1024x600. If fonts are too large after installation, you may try setting the DPI of the screen to 96 DPI manually.

    In terminal:

    Code:
    sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
In the "Monitor" section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf, add:

    Code:
    DisplaySize 195 113
In the "Device" section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf, add:

    Code:
    Option "NoDDC"
Save and close the file, then restart X.
