    I installed firefox3 over ff2.
Control-A in the location bar does NOT select any text.
    Does anyone else see this?

I believe that's a difference of XFCE/Gnome....or something? I noticed that even with Firefox 2 in Linpus, which threw me off (I'm used to KDE, which is ctrl-a for everything, and even when I use Konqueror on Linpus as my browser ctrl-a works).

Simple non-solution-but-it-works is just use alt-a instead, that seems to be the different default. I don't know offhand how to change it back, but I've actually gotten used to using alt-a in Firefox now, screws me up when I'm on any other computers using Firefox
