"Santa Clara (CA) - DigiTimes is reporting "a number of 10-inch netbooks based on Intel's single-core Atom N280 processor" are expected from Asustek, Acer and Gigabyte sometime between June and September, 2009. They'll use Intel's GN40 chipset and clock at 1.67 GHz with 667 MHz FSB"

Hopefully not... I don't want to wait until June >.<

Whats so great about the N280 other than the .06Ghz that it has over the N270?

It also comes paired with a newer and better chipset. probably to try and offset the Nvidia Ion somewhat

Nifty, but in all reality I don't think the 10 inch Acer will come with a processor that isn't supposed to be released until June.

667FSB as well. Chipset is still up in the air, unsure of if it really is better than the 945GSE or if it's a crippled 940/943 chipset.

Hopefully, they use a clock generator that is supported in SetFSB. As it is now, it isn't and I haven't found an overclocking tool that does work (though the cooling on my AAO leaves much to be desired even with heatsink mod)

There are updated specs on the macles* page. The 10" is only slightly wider than the the AAO and it looks like both 3 and 6 cell batteries will be available. Oh yeah, it'll be available in blue too.

Engadget is reporting this model can indeed expand to 2GB RAM.

It will also be curious to see if the existing A1 extended batteries (ie Xtreme) fit nicely with this series.
