What am I doing wrong? I have installed a Sierra MC8781 card in my D150. I have updated the firmware.
I have a 3G antenna, and a WIFI antenna connected to the card. When I turn on 3G with the front switch,
the Watcher software opens. I turn the radio on, and choose GPS Monitor.
I choose "current location" from the menu. It starts the session, waits for the fix,
session completes, and finds no satellites. I am outside when I try this.

The card shows up in the device manager on port 8 as a HSDPA network adapter.
Microsoft Streets and Trips reports finding the GPS on port 8.
Is there some hyper terminal commands I need to do? How do I do this?
Do I need a sim card reader installed for this to work?

Also, when I click on settings in the GPS monitor window. I get this error message.
SwiGpsUI "An unsupported operation was attempted" followed by,
SwiGpsUi "An invalid argument was encountered" is this normal?
    Thanks!

Mine are "GPS" and then "Start Session", nothing about current location.

I downgraded the Sierra watcher software, and no longer get the error message I got when I click on settings in the GPS Watcher.
I still get no satellites after the session completes.

jerryt. which version of the watcher program are you using?
If I change the view to the classic option, I get the view you probably have.

My guess would be that you have a WiFi antenna connected. Try with the correct antennas.

I only have 1-3g antenna, and 2-Wifi antenna. I have connected 1 of each, and the other to the Wifi.
Are you saying I should not connect the Wifi antenna to the Sierra card at all?
Which terminal should the 3G antenna be on? Main or Aux?
I got the sim card reader attached and the one from eBay works properly with no wire changes on the D150.

Yes, try with correct antennas only.

I am abandoning this GPS project for now.
I have tried the 3G antenna on either of the 2 terminals.
I have used the 3G antenna with a jumper to the other terminal.
I have tried the 3G with a WIFI antenna. I have switched these connections.
Still cannot get the GPS to work. I am tired of taking it apart.
At least the touch screen, WIFI "N" card, sim card, 3G card and bluetooth work.

    Thanks for all your help!

No, I sit outside on the uncovered patio, and sit until the session completes.
No satellites are ever found, and the bar indicator stays red.
I have also tried it in the front yard, and day or night with the same results.
