    Hi All,

There is heaps of info to solder the connec tor and have 3G in an earlier model however I cannot see and posts on adding 3G to a D250

I have the spare PCI-e slot and would like to add a module so that I can connect to either Optus or Vodafone in Australia. (These carriers run on the higher frequencies around 1800/1900mHz.)

    - Which 3G module should i buy?

    - Do I need an antenna? Is there one in the netbook or do I need to purchase this separately and mount in the lid? if so, which antenna and where can I buy it?

    - If it is as simple as adding the 3G module and WinXP will recognise it, do I just insert the SIM and use something like Sierra Wireless Watcher to connect?

Thanks for the help as I cannot find info on this.

    Rgds,
    Garth.
