I am experiencing a very obnoxious problem with my aspire one D250-1738, where when the screen is bumped, the angle adjusted, opened, closed, moved, or for no apparrent reason at all, the screen will stop working and turn white. usually it will quickly or slowly turn white, showing some portions of the screen with white stripes through them, with the stripes becoming more prevalent, until the entire screen is white. I believe the problem is a hardware one, possibly the video cord being shot. This problem can happen any time, before post, after post, during startup/shutdown, or any time during the use of the computer. After putting the thing into sleep mode with the keyboard shortcut, and turning it back on, the screen functions fine, but hitting it or bumping it more typically proves to make the problem worse. Any advice?

My D250's LCD cable recently started exhibiting similar issues. I think I may have posted about it elsewhere. Basically my cable, after a great deal of use, had either become stretched or worn out. Luckily I was able to repair it, but I know it definetely won't be repairable next time. Which given the current, minor malfunctions, wont' be far off. The cables themselves aren't cheap, but they are available. Last I saw on eBay there was one for the D250 going for about $60, but I'm sure I can find a better price.
