D260-2380 cann't get webcam to work

    just got this d260 with a bad os on it. so i reformatted hard drive and installed windows 7 (starter,basic,pro) and i have no webcam or drivers to install. been on acers web site and let have no drivers listed for windows 7. it has a webcam on it because i took lcd screen bevel off to see and its there. the camera doesn't show up anywheres. the stickers on laptop state intel,windows 7 starter. any help

    Go to Device Manager. Do you see any "unknown devices" or yellow exclamation symbols? If not, the web cam hardware is either defective or isn't properly plugged in. I have an old AOA-150 that I reformatted and installed Windows 7 Home earlier this year. The Windows OS found and installed drivers for my webcam and it works fine.
