Dead AA1 when USB install of ubuntu

    Hi,
    I inserted an USB stick(SD Card slot) which had ubuntu. I wanted to install ubuntu. I now have a dead AA1 that has a black screen. What did i do wrong. Can some one tell me how to get the AA1 back please.

    Same thing happened to me while installing Xubuntu: DEAD. Macles' fix didn't work for me, as the machine wouldn't even recognize the USB ports anymore. Solution: back to service center for a new motherboard.

    Surely they must realize there's a problem with some / many of these machines!

    Same here: a brand new AAO 150 less than two months just went "pfuiiiit" when I tried to read from a DVD live with Fedora...

    back to service, returned after a month... on the report it reads "changed bios"....

    well..

    it works again, but I'm very reluctant with experiences now...

    and saving on an external drive is now a everyday task :-(
