I just purchased the following a couple of months back:
ACER Aspire AM3802-U9062 Desktop PC - Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300, 8GB DDR2, 1TB HDD, DVDRW, Windows 7 Home Premium.

Aside from the problem of it going to sleep overnight (think I have that one finally licked) the box has performed well up until yesterday when the included PCI wireless card went out.

I ran out and purchased a new Linsys WMP54G and dropped it in the same slot that was previously occupied by the old card but no joy. It isn't recognized by the device manager and the status LED's don't light. I quickly moved it to the remaining free PCI slot and the same conditions exist.

Two bad slots? Power supply rail?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi!
Hmmmh, sounds like they have been disabled, does it show up in device manager? Also, check the BIOS for onboard I/O devices and see if they are enabled.

    Hope this helps,
    Daniel :)
