Deleted my sound, how do I get it back??

    Well, as a novice Windows user, I got into trouble. I am running XP and deleted a couple of applications that I thought were just for enhancing sound, but apparently they WERE the sound. Now I have no sound output.

    In the sounds control panel, it says "no audio device" when I click on the volume tab. If I click on the Audio tab it says no playback devices, no recording devices, no MIDI playback devices.

    Can anyone help me get my sound re-installed? Thanks.
