ah well acer default (linpus lite), had already modified it a bit, with firefox & thunderbird icon in the connect area and removing acr and IM then i had a problem with the firefox 2.0.0.8 a blank page always came up in the browser, not the home page, etc. about:config did not solve it. i uninstalled it using "pirut" i am now left with no visible desktop, winge. only the searchbar is visible and the taskbar . i can get to a terminal, by using the search bar "desktop choice" and then clicking the executable in the file manager which comes up. typing into the searchbar at the "internet choice", brings up the re-installed firefox 2.0 can bring up thunderbird with the terminal, but the mail account is gone. cmd xfce-setting-show in a terminal doesn't work. how can I get the desktop back to work? thanx
