It's not real Vista, just a few free small apps to simulate the theme and the transparent effects.

Guess I've been off the radar a bit, got a busy week ahead, but I'll try to post some kind of tutorial with the PNGs when life returns to a more reasonable pace.

Thanks for the praise, certainly heartwarming to log back on after such a long time and see my stuff again :)

PS: in the mean time, this might come in handy: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=410&p=14045#p14045

I'm not sure why you would want to use it on a Vista machine if you already have Vista... but okay.
The window border Aero effect is from a program called True Transparency you can download it from:
    http://www.crystalxp.net/galerie/en.id. ... -tools.htm

The XP visual style theme is called MiVista (you can google it along with the keyword)
The taskbar and the startup menu transparency effect is from a program called Glass2k. You can also use this other program called TransWin but that doesn't make the startup menu transparent.

And finally, the toolbar for the Windows Explorer is from Styler Toolbar.

    Hi,
This is my desktop for the "One", the embedded dark blue theme is digitally signed by Microsoft (no hacks) so it`s freely available on plenty of sites.

This one could have been made for the blue "Aspire One" its a perfect match, and with no problems :D

Only additional thing I did to the theme was to reduce the title bars from 25 to 21, menu`s, selected items from 19 to 17 & scroll bar down to 15, this just gives a little additional work space and doesn't spoil the theme.
