Bought an Aspire One for my mum - she doesn't have broadband so will need to use a dial-up connection - I take it I'll need to get an external modem, any recommendations?

    What operating system??

Any USB modem will work. There is already topic about USRobotics modems... Think about external 3G modem - it is much faster and dedicated solution... You can try Huawei E220...

I use a Zoom 3095 on my XP model. It comes with all the drivers on a CD. Check Amazon for a price.
