Different Displays in AA1? Survey!

    As i already mentioned a few days ago here: http://macles.wordpress.com/2008/07/22/ ... -displays/ the AA1 might be shipping with different displays. Now that we know that they put two different SSDs and batteries in there anyhting is possible.

    So please check your display by using the entering the following command in the terminal (Alt+F2, click Run in terminal, but don't enter anything on the box): cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log which will flood the terminal with lots of information and at the end you will see this.

    How to for windows?
    I'll try look in device manager, thats always a good place to start looking for part numbers :)

    Just checked my linpus version, purchased at Canada Computers on Sunday. The bold lines (and perhaps the others) are identical on my box.

    In Device Manager on Vista, I've got 3 displays installed, I think because I have installed the drivers 3 times lol.
    Anyways on the properties page for one, and the Details tab, under "Hardware Ids", I have "Monitor\AUO11C2"
    I've checked all the other options, but can't find anything that isn't generic..
