Hello, I am wondering if that if I happen to install another operating system on my Acer Aspire One 8GB SSD Model, if I could revert back with the recovery CD's that came with the netbook. I have Windows XP Home Edition SP3.

It's not an error. I am wondering if I replace my XP OS, if it is possible I could revert back to XP... I am thinking of putting on a Cut down version of Windows 7 like Tiny7...

from experience from installing windows 7 ult on my netbook, you will not be able to use the d2d recovery to put windows xp back on without making a few changes. First of all when u installs any o/s do not delete the partion with the recovery files. it's around 10 gigs. pq---- something forgets whats it called. when windows 7 installs for some reason that partiton gets set to non active and when you hits f12 at boot it gives you an error. When i found out windows 7 was not my cup of tea, i downloaded a partition program and set the hidden recovery partition to active. (that was the only change i made, do not format) i restarted the computer and then started the recovery. bye by windows 7 ult, and thank god.

Hello, got this sorted out a while ago. I have the AOA110 SSD Model. Installed Windows 7 and deleted every partition. Recovery was still available. The recovery must boot from the System CD that came with my Aspire One. Anyway's, only problem with recovery was when I installed Ubuntu. I had to use the Windows 7 Setup to create 7693MB (7.49GB) Partition, and the Partition showed up Acer's eRecovery.
