In my Aspire One SSD Read/Write Test with HD Tune my SSD has the name "SSDPAM0008G1EA"
    Read-Speed: 22,8 MB/sec (Average) - Write-Speed: 1,4 MB/sec to 7 MB/sec

Now someone in the german eeepc.de Forum posted his benchmark. Name of the SSD "P-SSD 1800"
    Read-Speed: 30,1 MB/sec (Average) - Write-Speed: 12,6 MB/sec

    Strange...

First; he had posted it in the eeePC forum but I assume he writes about an Acer Aspire One, is that correct?

Did you use the same software to test? Also assuming the other user got his from Germany, could you tell us where you got yours?

Terrible read/write speed, just as bad as the XP version. Weren't the Linux version supposed to be fast compared to the XP version?

From what I understand, there is a myth that XP needs drivers for the SSD and that's why it so slow. In truth the One SSD has just shitty specs and is slow, it just doesn't show in Linux. Maybe bEtrayEr has caught something about two different SSD's, but I'm afraid he's comparing the eee SSD with the One SSD (and it's already known that the One SSD is slower than most eee SSD's).

I have read his post in the German Forum....and in this "EEE Forum" there's a certain section for AAO Users...so he's definately writig about the AAO SSD.

Well, is it true that the AAO SSD is slower compared with the eee SSD? I've heard it the other way round...

No, the benchmark was posted in an AAO specific thread (and I don't think the auther was fooling around).

    @Evidence
The AAO SSD reads a little bit faster (and writes much slower) then the eee 701 SSD.

@Betrayer: I just saw it at the eee-Forum. The write speed is horrible! Just around 5-7 MB/sec on another Benchmark in your thread

I tested my A1 SSD. The read speeds are about 35MB/s while the writes are about 13MB/s but i still get stalls in windows. Its pretty much the same as the german guy on the eeepc forum u were talking about.
Has P-SSD 1800 as the name too. This one being a linux one originally.

I got my A1 in Canada.

Where did u get yours bEtrayEr?

Sad to hear for some One owners that they got a lousy SSD, but very interesting to see how the speed difference effect the usage experience.

Bought mine in Singapore (Courts) and it has the 1800 SSD.

    So thats it:

    1. Intel SSD (SSDPAM0008G1EA): 23 MB/sec Read / 5 MB/sec Write
    2. Samsung SSD (P-SSD 1800): 30-35 MB/sec Read / 13 MB/sec Write
