Go into your Power Center, and for both AC Power and Battery Power click the "Autosuspend" option at the bottom and uncheck it for both categories.

Next, click the "General Settings" tab at the top and change the "Lid close Button" option to "Do Nothing".

    That should be all.

If you can open a terminal:

    xset s off
    xset -dpms

The first one will turn off the screen blanking.
Then next will disable hardware blanking.

Just right-click on the battery icon in your taskbar and select configure.

it works with modifiy some settings in KPowersave, it was just hard to find be cause you have to click on a text without any button image.

i did not find the automatic standby (ger: auto aussetzten) just click there and configure.

wow... if you didn't put that I think I would NEVER figured this out, I thought it was a redundancy standby/autosuspend ... this is the least intuitive settings GUI I've ever come across... I believe this does not follow any GUI standards recommendation

Great! now I can also configure the action when closing the lid and disable sleep the Fn+F4 which I have pressed several time by mistake instead of Alt+F4... lol
