My sony laptop has this feature which solved one of my biggest problems - catching the touchpad and then my typing changes to a different part of the document. I keep doing this with the Aspire One. Does anyone know of a setting or a tweak to enable this?

however, for a beginner, that explanation is pretty obscure (as I note another has found it)

anyone want to translate to basic?

It's not so obscure, it's just a problem of missing attachments... those png are not clickable anymore. I've written a private message to the author but no answer...

Let's wait if someone who has already solved the problem may kindly help.

Heh, my forum-fu is strong (that, and it was quicker to check if he'd posted on linux or windows forums than it was to find the threads for linux _and_ windows)

    :)

Curious myself...have never seen anything regarding doing it in Windows...

Edit: First result of Google search for "automatically disable touchpad while typing in Windows": http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/T ... 80581.html

Freeware, and seems to work. I could not get the cursor to move by tapping (typing nonsense with one hand, repeatedly tapping touchpad with the other.) Note that while you are not actively typing, the touchpad resumes normal function, so if you take a pause to think about what you are writing, it will resume the possibility of moving your typing field.
