Display Aspire VGA to RCA Input on TV

    you can get the same product from dealextrme for like 1/3 of the price.

    It isn't the price that bothers me, I just need to know that it would work. I've heard it may not, depending on the hardware for your video card. Has anyone tried this?

    You can only use one of those adapters if the computer's VGA out also supports standard TV which, as I understand it, the Aspire One's does not.

    You'll need a converter such as this:

    This is one of the very few truly disappointing aspects of the AA1.

    Let's see, I understand it via a number of ways.

    The technical specs of the device, per the available tech documents.
    Reading more than one "failed" report from users who've hooked up a VGA-RVA dongle from a device that DOES offer this.

    But the most obvious reason we know it has no TV out signal is the fact that if it DID have this capability, you can be sure it would be advertised as such. Acer would want it known because it would influence a good many netbook purchases.
