display brightnes

    How can i adjust the brightness, gamma, contrast etc..

    Is there a control pannel for the graphics card, like with nvidia cards

    you are miss understanding me i think.

    I want an applet that will allow me to adjust the brightness, colour, gamma, contrast. not the actual LCD display brightness.

    For example say i'm playing a movie or a game and it has very dark scenes, I might want to up the gamma a little to make less of a struggle to see the detail.

    This is almost always handled by the application rather than a system wide utility. For example, VLC (my video player of choice) can do all this but it is a function of VLC not the OS on which it runs.
