Display Brightness

    For those of you who want to control the brightness of your Hackintosh but don't have the slider in your Display preferences, I'd highly recommend the following program:

    http://www.charcoaldesign.co.uk/shades

    This also works great with the existing slider control in Macs. My iMac is too bright for me even on the lowest setting, but Shades takes care of that.
