divx driver "forgotten" after every reboot?

Hi everybody. I installed the rpm for the divx driver and vlc using yum. Everything worked fine, for a while. Now, whenever I boot, the divx files are played without video output, only if I remove and reinstall the above does it work, until the next reboot that is, and only of a subsmooth quality in full screen. Makes no difference if I use mplayer or smplayer instead. Does anyone have an idea what happened here? Thanks a lot! Heiko
