I am wondering if the problems people are having with wireless LED, using Mandriva 2009 Gnome, is effected by whether they are running the SSD version or the HD version. To find out I am posting 2 threads. This one is for the SSD version. If you have the SSD version and are having wireless LED problems and using Mandriva 2009 Gnome, please post and let us know.

Wish I could have used a poll but I don't know how on this forum.

I've installed Mandriva 2009 Gnome 3x. And all the time the LED worked right away. Use wired connection when installing Mandriva.

I have the 8gb SSD version running 2009.0 Gnome, and the light has never come on. Don't care much, though. The important stuff is all working now.

I know this is a stupid question but do you have the earthnet cable connected to your AAO? If so you may not be using the WIFI when you connect. If there is not any earthnet cable connected, go to http://speedtest.net and run their speed test while watching the light if it doesn't come on at all then either it is disconnected or the light is broken.

OK. Ran test as requested. On cable got 9760 down, 1748 up. Unplugged cable, ran wireless at 3257 down, 1037 up. No lights.

    Hi.

I've got the A110 with the 8GB SSD (Updated the RAM to 1.5GB). I've been using Mandriva One for about a week now and I have to say I've been very pleased with the system. The Wi-Fi led however hasn't lighted up since I installed Mandriva. The connection itself works just fine so this isn't a problem. (I know the connection works as I have never connected this machine to an ethernet-cable)

Dudemeister, it sounds to me that either the LED is bad or not connected. Did you open your AAO to make any modes?

My light works fine under LimpOS. Again, I don't care about the light not working.

As I said I Installed an extra GB of RAM. But the WiFi led continued working just fine even after that under Linpus and only stopped working after I installed Mandriva. Really can't be bothered to find out the reason, but if someone comes up with a simple enough solution I'll be happy.
