    Hi all,

I have had alot of trouble downgrading my extensa 5510z to xp.

I firstly made a few mistakes on the way i think.
the first mistake I think was to format the entire hard drive inculding removing all partitions.

I was not able to install drivers for ethernet contoller and network controller i think this maybe related??

when i recover the acer patiton containing vista and the hidden acer service partittion I was not able to boot vista.
i recovered the partitions as acer primary boot and acer service primary. it hink this is the issue as it complains it cannot find the netloadr which is in the acer serivice partition.

can any1 advise how to reconfigure this to have it boot again?
i would be hapy if i could get the laptop back to vista and its original state as I could try xp again then being confident that if drivers don't work then they are just not good ones or something is up there.

    thanks in advance
